After cristina rebuffs ezio's clumsy the red color is merely an oversight. You should get brotherhood first then revelations later in the future if you want to follow the storyline. By the end of the game, it really brought full circle the story stemming from assassin's creed i.
Each of these titles was released at least five years ago and for their time, they were technical marvels given their scale and ambition.
